I can't believe it is already December!  November was great for AWANA, we started our food drive the first week of November and it will continue until the first week of December, the clubbers are doing a great job bringing in those cans of food.

On November 11th we celebrated Veteran's Day in AWANA with red, white and blue night.  The clubbers learned about giving thanks to those who sacrifice so much for our freedoms.  Sparks also made cards for the Veteran's in the hospital.  They were so proud of their work and excited to know that their words of encouragement would help a soldier.  We can all learn from their enthusiasm and desire to encourage those who are hurting!

On December 7th AWANA will be going skating at Chester Skateland.  Please join us at 6:30 pm for Christian Skate Night!  We often complain that the world doesn't offer any Christian based entertainment for our children and then when a wonderful, inexpensive opportunity like this is offered we don't support it!  How sad! 

On December 16th AWANA will have its Christmas Party.  Everyone always enjoys this time of year and especially the parties!

There will be no AWANA on December 23rd and December 30th.  AWANA would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  We're looking forward to 2010 in AWANA!
