Tuesday Mornings
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
September - May

LAMBS will continue to follow the same schedule Carol Moore established when she started LAMBS many years ago.  We will continue to meet on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon for the months of September through May.  I am truly honored and thankful to be entrusted with this ministry.  Carol was a tremendous teacher and I look forward to carrying on the legacy of the Ladies A. M. Bible Study.  Please pray for me as I prepare for next fall.

God and I Changing the World

Wonderful Merciful Savior

As Christians sometimes we tend to think of mercy in biblical terms, as if it’s something only Christ can extend. But there are startling acts of mercy in our contemporary culture if we but look for them. Illinois governor George Ryan’s decision on January 11, 2003, to commute all 156 of the state’s death row inmates’ sentences to life in prison is a perfect example. While we might argue with the politics of such a decision, there’s no doubt about its merciful nature.

June 20th

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Colossians 3:20.

Paul Harvey once said, "A father is forced to endure childbirth without anesthesia.  He growls when it feels good and laughs when he's scared.  He's guilty of giving too much time to his business when his kids are growing up.  He never feels entirely worthy in their eyes.  He lectures them when their grades aren't as good as he thinks they should be – although secretly he knows it's really the teacher's fault!  Dads have tough exteriors and sometimes their hearts must be broken,

I can hardly believe that this school year will be done in twenty more school days!  I'm so excited about the WCDC, WCS and POP's for this coming fall!  We are getting calls everyday about these great ministries!  I trust you pray daily for these evangelism tools of our great church!

Don't you dare miss Mother's Day at WBC!  We will begin that day with a breakfast that will be free to all Moms and their families.  We'll follow that with the most exciting hour of the week – Sunday School!  Next we will honor the life of Carol Moore during our 10:45 Worship Service.  We will celebrate Carol's life through a Legacy Service.  A plaque will be presented to her family recalling the tireless hours she put into making WBC a great

Verse Of The Day

Exodus 20:26 Neither shall you go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed to it.’

News Flash

I have decided that some things in life are worth praying for.  One of these is my church.  Woodlawn Baptist Church has been a part of my family's life for 47 years.  It has been so good to be able to call this my church home.  Because it has been such a great part of my life I feel it is worth praying for.

Woodlawn Baptist Church is not just a building.  Hearts of the believers there are so dear to us.

Newsflash

Please put Church Council Meeting on your calendar for the first Sunday of each month!  All Committee Chairpersons should attend these important meetings!
