 Welcome
to our AWANA Clubs!! We are so excited to be working with the boys and
girls, helping them to learn more about the Lord while earning awards and
enjoying fantastic recreation.
General AWANA information:
Commander: Amanda Hill
Cubbies - This club is
for 3 & 4 year olds. They learn 1 verse each week, but more
importantly learn that learning about God is fun. This club sets the
stage for becoming a "child of God". During the club night
they have a Bible story, game time, snack, and puppet time. Our
Cubbies director this year is Sheila Bischoff.
Sparks - Sparks is
much more fast paced and children begin to learn to put the word of God
into action. Sparks not only focus on verse memorization, but also Bible
application. There are three handbooks included in Sparks: skipper, hiker,
climber. Sparks books consist of two sections - red jewels (verse
memorization) and green jewels (application). Sparks complete books
at their own pace, so their is a greater need for parent involvement
with this club. Sparks club night is divided into 4
parts, handbook time, council time, snack and game time. Our Sparks
director this year is Kimberly Strawser.
Truth & Training -
This club really focuses on putting God into action. Each section
consist of a verse and many different questions or life application ideas to get
the kids to really think about the meaning of each verse, not just the
words. There are 4 books in T & T: Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, Book
4. T & T club time is divided into 3 sections: handbook time, council
time, and game time. The T & T director this year is Laura Ledoux.
Game Time - This is
the fun part of the club. This is the part that get clubber moving and
learning how to be a team. Most of the games that we play during game time
are team games. This is designed to teach the kids how to work
together. |
